The World Islands is a set of artificial islands on the scale of the world's continents that are placed off the coast of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The World Islands comprise more than 20 square miles of land, with each island having a 330-foot water body that separates them. It includes 300 small private artificial islands divided into 4 categories – personal homes, estate homes, dream hotels and community islands. The World Islands are located 4 kilometres off the coast of Jumeirah, between Burj Al Arab and Port Rashid, close to Palm Jumeirah. The length of every island ranges from 250,000 to 900,000 square feet with 50 to a hundred meters of water on each island. It is nine km long and six km wide, surrounded by an oval-shaped breakwater. The mode of transport between the islands is by sea or air transport.
The World Islands are primarily made up of sand extracted from the shallow coastal waters of Dubai and are one of several artificial island developments in Dubai. The World is a compilation of private and resorts islands that are fully furnished and sold to private invitees. The Kleindienst Group is proud to be part of this iconic and historic development.
