Overview
The Royal Yacht at Dubai Internet City is a 4-star luxury class hotel inspired with its Yacht design and brand name by Palladium Prime Real with premium class hotel suites. This is where architecture sails beyond convention, and the façade rises as a rare assertion of hospitality by the influence of movement, clearness, and the poetry of the sea. This is a monumental project in the sense that turns the beauty of a modern superyacht into a construction that seems to be flowing, composed, and also a well-balanced structure intuitively. Upon the initial eye contact, the building conveys the sentiment of movement as soothing horizons, shaped silhouettes, smooth continuity as remnants of life in the open waters. All such design gestures have been precisely honed to produce an ambiance in which, light is free-flowing, space is natural and the guest experience is intimate but uplifted.
The development is sported by a defined approach to smooth curves, sophisticated symmetry, and a strong sense of sculpture, unlike other traditional hospitality developments. The exterior composition is further inspired by the smoothness and elegance of the modern yachts, there is no rigid geometry and instead organic shapes which create a sense of timelessness and intentionality. The expansive glazing is employed where panoramic views of the city are incorporated and natural light influences the interior of the building through the day. The facade is not decorative simply because it continues the interior philosophy, and enhances openness, balance and visual continuity. The desired effect of the given approach is that the building will be dynamic and at the same time grounded, iconic but not flashy, and immediately created instead of built.
Entering the complex creates an impression that the luxury rooms will, along with the levels, recline on the decks of some grand area as each of these levels is created with its specific mood and personality and, yet, flows together into a single story. The use of lavish materials like polished marble, natural wood that is warm and even custom designed lighting provides a setting that is indulgent, and relaxing. The spatial planning in question focuses on ease with no pain and privacy that enables the guests to move easily between the common space and the personal area.
The project has an experiential philosophy and that is what makes it so special. Although created in a manner that makes the guests calm and spiritually conscious with the design that makes them present and connect meaningfully, following the architecture. The interior is well proportioned to minimize visual noise and the lighting is adjusted to improve mood and rhythm throughout the day. Perspectives are not dictated but edited giving some moments of rest amongst the urban flow. This considerate arrangement of space and ambiance makes the hotel a getaway that is urban and marine intertwined, and an experience that can be valuable and calming to visit.
The spatial narrative of the hotel is represented by the idea of every floor, a new deck. The different levels have slight differences in designing, materiality, and ambiance, which give a layered experience that is similar to the trip carried out by a yacht. This is a solution that helps not only to increase visual appeal but also to facilitate planning based on zoning according to which the guests can enjoy privacy, comfort, and exclusivity. Be it when coming to do business needs or to spend some days, the visitors can see spaces that adjust smoothly to their demands without losing their overall style of integrity and unbroken flow.
